The Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse is a statutory body established to investigate the abuse of children in institutions in Ireland. It heard evidence through two committees, the Investigation Committee and the Confidential Committee, and published its report in 2009. The Commission does not handle financial compensation, which is the responsibility of the Residential Institutions Redress Board. Its offices are located in Dublin.
