Connemara National Park covers some 2,000 hectares of scenic mountains, bogs, heaths, grasslands, and woodlands in County Galway, including part of the Twelve Bens range. Opened to the public in 1980, the park offers walking trails, including the Diamond Hill walk, and is home to heritage breeds such as the Connemara pony.
