The Daughters of Charity is a religious organisation founded by St Vincent de Paul and St Louise de Marillac in 1633 in France. It first came to Ireland in 1855, establishing services in Drogheda and later in Dublin. The organisation provides services to people in need, working for a more just society, and has expanded its mission to Africa, including Nigeria, Kenya, and Tanzania.
