Keep Ireland Open is a national voluntary organisation campaigning for legislation to grant recreational users the right to access the Irish countryside. The group lobbies government and politicians to establish clearly marked legal rights of way and the right to roam in remote areas. It monitors local authority development plans and submits regarding rights of way. The organisation also campaigns against barbed-wire fencing and works to resolve access disputes as they arise.
