The Southern Regional Assembly is one of three regional assemblies in Ireland, representing ten local authorities across Munster and South Leinster. It has a statutory role in developing and implementing the Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy (RSES) for the Southern Region and manages EU funding programmes, including the European Regional Development Fund. The Assembly coordinates economic growth, infrastructure improvements and community development for the region's 1.7 million residents.
