The organisation supports the rights of all individuals to live free from discrimination and harassment, and highlights issues such as lack of representation in political life and domestic and sexual violence. Promoting Geosciences In Ireland

The Institute of Geologists of Ireland (IGI) is a professional body that provides accreditation for geoscientists in Ireland. It offers membership to practising geoscientists, maintains specialist registers in areas such as hydrogeology, pyrite, waste disposal and contaminated land, and provides continuing professional development and training. The IGI also promotes geosciences and represents members nationally and internationally.
